Who is Dr. Lisa?
She started off in an Animal Science program in 1986. Her goal at that point was to become a Veterinarian however she soon realized that this was not her field of choice. From there she enrolled into the Nursing program at the Aberdeen School of Nursing in New Glasgow. There she learned valuable knowledge that she knew would lead her on to something in the natural field of medicine.
During her years as a practising nurse she gained experience and knowledge that would stay with her forever. Understanding illness and being able to empathise with her patients could only be realized through first hand experience. Both allopathic and naturopathic medicine are very important in our everyday lives. Both have their place in the healthcare system. Preventative medicine is of utmost importance.
She had another calling that she had to pursue as she enrolled in the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto in 1997. There, she spent four years studying and training to become a Naturopathic Doctor. She started her own clinic in 2002 in Pictou County (Stellarton) where she presently see patients.
